The Bluegrass/Country <br />Music Night will be held at the Flea Market Grounds located at the <br />intersection of Highway 27 and 601 from 7:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. on Saturday, <br />June 4. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Barnhard <br />with Commissioners Payne, Lentz, and Barnhardt voting for and Commissioner <br />Milloway and Chairman Nash voting against, the Board granted permission <br />for Mr. Stephen H. Grant to use an amplifying system for live entertainment <br />on his property located at Route 3, Box 128, Harrisburg, North Carolina, <br />from 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. on May 20, 1983, after a finding by the Board <br />that the proposed operation of such amplifying system will not be injurious <br />to the public welfare of the county. The rain date for the entertainment <br />was set for May 27, 1983. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner }~lloway, seconded by Commissioner Payne <br />and unanimously carried, the Board employed the firm of Henningson, Durham <br />& Richardson, Inc., to provide engineering services for the development of <br />the water supply system project and authorized the execution of a contract <br />with Henningson, Durham & Richardson, Inc., in accordance with the Farmer's <br />Home Administration standard contract for services. <br /> Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager, reported that Cabarrus County <br />was now preparing an application for submission to the Farmer's Home <br />Administration for funding assistance of a county-wide water distribution <br />system totaling around $16,000,000.00. <br /> <br /> <br />
