Small <br /> County Clerk <br /> <br /> The following resolution regarding Parkwood Sanitary District was <br />presented for consideration. <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION TO LEVY NO TAXES <br />FOR THE PARKWOOD SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1983-84 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the Commissioners of the Parkwood Sanitary District have <br />adopted their annual budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1983 <br />and ending June 30, 1984, a copy of which is hereto attached; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the Board of Light & Water Commissioners of the City of <br />Concord assumed responsibility for the water and sewer operations of the <br />District on July 1, 1981 pursuant to an agreement between the District and <br />the Light & Water Commissioners dated March 10, 1981; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the sum of $9,410.50 required to pay the interest and principal <br />on the bonded indebtedness to retire the District's bonds which will become <br />due and payable during the ensuing fiscal year will be provided by an <br />escrow agreement with Citizens National Bank dated March 10, 1981; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the accumulated reserves of the District will be adequate to <br />provide sufficient funds for the District's other operations. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> <br />1. That the Parkwood Sanitary District does hereby find as a fact: <br /> <br /> (a) The funds available in the District's accumulated reserve <br />fund are sufficient for the payment of interest and the retirement <br />of the District's bonded indebtedness. <br /> <br /> (b) Under an agreement dated March 10, 1981 with the City of <br />Concord Board of Light and Water Commissioners, the Board bears <br />responsibility for delivery of water and sewer services within the <br />District. <br /> <br /> (c) The interest income of the District will be adequate to <br />support its administrative operations without a levy of taxes. <br /> <br /> 2. That the Secretary of the Parkwood Sanitary District Board of <br />Commissioners certify to the Board of County Commissioners for Cabarrus <br />County a request that the Board of Commissioners levy no tax on the <br />property in the County on behalf of the district. <br /> <br /> <br />
