460 <br /> <br /> The substitute motion made by Commissioner Payne to make only three <br />of the five temporary eligibility specialists permanent employees failed <br />for lack of a second. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board tabled consideration of the proposed <br />Solid Waste Ordinance amendment regarding garbage dumpsters in specified <br />zoned areas with the Health Director, County Attorney, and Zoning Administrator <br />to make a recommendation to the Board at a later date. <br /> UPON MOTION OF Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following amendment to the <br />Solid Waste Ordinance. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED THAT Section IX - Franchises - of the Cabarrus County <br />Solid Waste Ordinance is amended by adding Item 4 under Item A as follows. <br /> <br />Ail franchise holders will maintain a local telephone number <br />or a toll free number if operating office is located outside <br />of the county. <br /> <br /> Mr. R. M. Faggart presented a petition requesting that the following <br />section of Barcliff Road be closed. <br /> <br />BEGINNING at the corner of Lots Mo. 26 and 28 on the E. side of <br />said road and running in a northerly direction R=120.O0 feet, <br />L=16.77 feet to a point in Lot No. 26; thence across Barcliff <br />Road, S. 79-03-01 E. 60 feet to a point in Lot No. 29 and <br />in the western edge of said road; thence with the front of <br />Lot No. 29 R=180.O0, L=90.84 to the front corner of Lot No. 30; <br />thence with Lot No. 31, R=180.00, L=163.28 feet to a point of <br />Lot No. 32; thence with the Southern side of said street N. 88-10-01 <br />E. 476.84 feet to a point in the front line of Lot No. 40; thence <br />with said street R=180, L=167.24 feet to a point in Lot No. 44; <br />thence crossing said street N. 64-54-12 W. 60 feet to a point <br />in the front of Lot No. 42; thence with Lot No. 42, R=120 and <br />L=132.09 to a poin~t in Lot No. 42; thence with the northern side <br />of Barcliff Street, N. 88-10-01 E. 459.77 feet to a point in the <br />edge of the street and the front of Lot No. 28; thence R=120.00, <br />L=152.64 feet to the point of BEGINNING. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner <br />Barnhardt and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following <br />resolution. <br /> <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Cabarrus County, <br />North Carolina, that: <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners, having received a petition, which <br />petition is on file with the Clerk of the Board, requesting that the <br />segment of Barcliff Road described in the petition be closed, does hereby <br />declare its intent to close that segment of Barcliff Road located in <br />Number Nine Township, Cabarrus County, North Carolina, as is described <br />in the petition and does hereby set the 16th day of January, 1984, at <br />8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Commissioners' Room of the Cabarrus County <br />Courthouse as the time and place at which it will hold a public hearing on <br />this resolution of intent. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board agreed for Commissioner Nash to remain <br />the County's voting delegate to the Centralina Council of Governments for <br />1984. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board accepted the alternate delegates to the <br />Centralina Council of Governments for 1984 as follows. <br /> <br /> <br />
