Nelson for the rezoning of property on Untz Road from <br />ARR to RMF-7. <br /> <br />(8) <br /> <br />Petition 85-08. Thomas and Alene Alexander, Bobby and Nellie Brooks, <br />Alfred S. Madeiros, La-Vaughn Rodgers and John Adams, township 4, <br />Jackson Park Road, Map/PIN 5614(20)-91-3052, 3913, 5907, 3863, 4718; <br />5614(20)-92-4030, 3198, 4166. Wishes to rezone from R-7.2 to 0-I. <br />This request was approved 5 to 0 by the Planning Board feeling this <br />change was a suitable transition from residential development, <br />and would accommodate current and proposed uses. <br /> <br /> Mr. Thomas F. Alexander, property owner, requested approval of the <br />rezoning to allow the establishment of an insurance office in an existing <br />house. <br /> No one spoke in opposition to the rezoning request. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Upright, seconded by Commissioner Hamby <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 85-08 to rezone <br />property on Jackson Park Road, Map/PIN 5614(20)-91-3052, 3913, 5907, <br />3863, 4718; 5614(20)-92-4030, 3198, 4166, from R-7.2 to 0-I. <br /> <br />(9) Petition 85-09. James B. and Matroy H. Rose, town'kip 4, Huron Street, <br /> Map/PIN 5613(11)-76-1988. Wishes to rezone from R-7.2 to C-1. The <br /> Planning Board approved this request 5 to 0 feeling this change would <br /> be compatible with existing commercial zoning at Huron Street and <br /> Centergrove Road. <br /> <br /> No one spoke either for or against the proposed rezoning. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 85-09 by James B. <br />and Matroy H. Rose to rezone property on Huron Street, Map/PIN 5613(11)- <br />76-1988, from R-7.2 to C-1. <br /> <br />(10) Petition 85-10. Flora H. Williams, township 11, Union Cemetery Road <br /> and Fleetwood Drive, Map/PIN 5529(05)-29-2353. Wishes to rezone from <br /> R-8 to C-2. This petition was unanimously approved as this rezoning <br /> would accommodate present and proposed uses. <br /> <br /> Mr. Larry Williams, representative of Ms. Flora H. Williams, requested <br />the rezoning to permit prospective purchasers of the property to upgrade <br />and renovate the shopping center. <br /> There was discussion regarding the need to rezone the Security Bank <br />property which is located adjacent to the shopping center and also zoned <br />residential. It was noted that the matter could not be considered at this <br />time as Security Bank was not included in the rezoning petition and had <br />not been included in the advertisement for the public hearing. <br /> <br />(11) Petition 85-11. William B. and Gay M. Lee, township 11, Union Cemetery <br /> Road and Coley Street, Map/PIN 5529(05)-29-0158, 1163, 9244. Wishes <br /> to rezone from R-8 to C-2. This request was approved 5 to 0 by the <br /> Planning Board on the basis it would tie in with existing commercial <br /> development across Union Cemetery Road. <br /> <br /> Mr. William D. Arrowood, attorney representing Mr. William B. Lee, <br />reviewed the location of present commercial uses located in the vicinity <br />of Mr. Lee's property. He asked for approval of the rezoning and stated <br />the property was an appropriate location for the establishment of an <br />auto parts store which currently operates out of the shopping center <br />on the other side of Union Cemetery Road. <br /> Mr. Harold G. Glover, resident of Union Cemetery Road, spoke in <br />support of the rezoning. <br /> <br /> <br />
