216 It should be noted that the proposed PDO is being sought to assure that the wholesale storage of petroleum products is not allowed on the subject site. The only measure available to provide this protection under the circumstanges and time constraints is through the PDO being sought. I therefore ~ecommend that the PDO rezoning be passed. No one spoke in opposition to the rezoning request. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Upright and unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 85-22 to rezone property in Township 4, Map/PIN 5613(11)-57-1029 (lots 1, 15, and 16), from R-7.2 to C-3/PDO. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhardt, seconded by Commissioner Upright and unanimOusly carried, the Board asked that the Planning Board and staff look into the possibility of pulling the wholesale gasoline storage facilities out of a C-3 district or other business and residential areas and locating them in some area that would be safer if there were an explosion or fire.
