The County reserves the right to make a meter reading(s) and
inspect the plumbing on a customer's property. This may be done in the
case of an abnormally large water bill, in cases of extreme water wastage,
use of water detrimental to the County System, or other reasons deemed
necessary by the County.

K. Discontinuance of Service
ReqUest for discontinuance of water service must be received by
the County at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to requested cut-off.
All water charges must be paid including water used to the time of cut-off.
No liability will be assumed by the County for damage to customer's
property resulting from discontinuance of service.

L. S~spension of Service
A delinquent water bill of ten (10) days from due date, as
well as other causes specified herein (see, for example, cause set
out in Section II, Subsection "Right to Not Allow Service"), will
constitute grounds for suspension of service. In addition, a property
owner may request removal of his meter. ~In order to have service restored
or the meter reinstalled, the standard cut-on fee as listed in the rate
schedule must be paid as specified herein, plus any unpaid water charges;
provided, however, that service will not be suspended without the County
first sending notice of its intention to suspend service to the last
known, or best known, address of the customer. A person purchasing
property where the meter has been removed for non-payment of bills will
become a new customer and may obtain services by paying the standard
meter deposit and cut-on fee.

M. Refusal to Accept Meter
Should any person pay a special fee during an initial sign-up
period and thereafter refuse to permit or allow a meter to be installed
at the time the water line is laid in front of his property, and to pay
the minimum rate from the date water becomes available through said line,
said person is to be refunded his fee. Thereafter, to receive water,
said applicant must pay the standard meter charge.

N. Penalties
The County may discontinue water services to any customer
due to an infraction of these rules and regulations, non-payment of bills,
or for any reason that may be detrimental to the system. Service will not
be reinstated until the conditions bringing about cut-off have been
satisfied. These costs may include, but not be limited to, delinquent
water bills, turn-off and turn-on fees, and any damages to the water
system. If a discontinued service is reinstated without authorization,
then the meter will be removed, an additional charge levied in the amount
of $25.00, and the owner or person responsible for such unauthorized
installation will be subject to all penalties, civil or criminal, now
provided by the law.
