Canaday recommended that the Board award the food <br />service contract to the low bidder, First Assembly Food Service. He stated <br />that this bidder has had the contract for the last year and there were no <br />problems with service or food quality. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Moss with <br />Chairman Lentz and Commissioners Moss and Hamby voting for and Commissioners <br />Payne and Melvin voting against, the Board accepted the recommendation of <br />Sheriff Robert M. Canaday and awarded the 1987-88 contract for supplying food <br />service to the County Jail to the low bidder, First Assembly Food Service, at <br />the following rates: Breakfast - $1.73, Lunch - $2.10, Dinner - $2.18. <br /> Chairman Lentz recessed the Board meeting at 9:45 A.M. for the members of <br />the Board to attend the dedication of the Fire Safety House at the Mount <br />Pleasant Elementary School. <br /> Chairman Lentz reconvened the Board meeting at 10:15 A.M. <br /> The following bids were received on April 28, 1987, for the Hospital <br />Radio Telemetry Console for the Cabarrus County Emergency Services. <br /> <br />LEGAL ADVERTISEMENT DATE: <br />April 6, 1987 <br /> <br />FIRM <br />Epic Systems, Inc. <br />BIOCOM, Inc. <br />Motorola, Inc. <br /> <br />ITEM <br />Epic System MP-1000 <br />MCIC Model 5000 <br />Q2505 Hospital Control Console <br /> <br />BID PRICE <br /> <br />$15,735.00 <br />$13,975.00 <br />$13,430.47 <br /> <br />The Board received the letter from Mr. Ben Mabrey, Emergency Services <br />Director, recommending that the low bid of $13,430.47 from Motorola be accepted. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and <br />unanimously carried, the Board awarded the bid for the purchase of the Hospital <br />Radio Telemetry Console to the low bidder, Motorola, Inc., in the amount of <br />$13,430.47. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Chairman to sign the following <br />Agreement with David M. Griffith & Associates for preparation of the 1987 Cost <br />Allocation Plan for Cabarrus County. <br /> FY 87 <br /> AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE <br /> PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING SERVICES TO <br /> Cabarrus County, North Carolina <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this 4th day of May, 1987 and effective <br />immediately by and between David M. Griffith and Associates, Ltd. (hereinafter <br />called the "Consultant") and the County of Cabarrus, State of North Carolina <br />(hereinafter called the "County"), WITNESSETH THAT: <br /> WHEREAS, the County has programs which it operates with Federal <br />funding, and <br /> WHEREAS, the County supports these programs with support services <br />paid from the County appropriated funds, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Federal government and the State will pay a fair share <br />of these costs if supported by an approved cost allocation plan, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Consultant is staffed with personnel knowledgeable and <br />experienced in the requirements of developing and negotiating such govern- <br />mental cost allocation plans, and <br /> WHEREAS, the County desires to engage the Consultant to assist in <br />developing a plan which conforms to Federal requirements and will be approved <br />by their representatives <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the parties hereto mutually agree as follows: <br />1. Employment of Consultant. The County agrees to engage the <br />Consultant and the Consultant hereby agrees to perform the following services. <br /> 2. Scope of Services.
