233

in the wake of the recent changes in the fire protection in and around
Kannapolis. Fieldcrest Cannon and Cabarrus County were the only contributors
to the operating budget of the Kannapolis Village Fire Department. As this
Fire Department is no longer responding to fires outside of Fieldcrest Cannon
property, it is appropriate that the funds remaining in the account be
returned to those who put money into the budget.

It is my understanding that there is a total of $6,112.34 in this account.
Fieldcrest Cannon, Inc. and Cabarrus County have agreed that 55% of the money
belongs to Fieldcrest Cannon and 45% to Cabarrus County. Therefore at this
time it is appropriate to dissolve the account and have a check made payable
to Fieldcrest Cannon, Inc. in the amount of $3,361.79 and another check made
payable to Cabarrus County in the amount of $2,750.55.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Very truly yours,

Pedro P.
