434 <br /> <br />The OWNER shall provide the following to the ENGINEER: <br />a. Any previously gathered information on material markets in the <br />area. This information shall include any existing agreements the <br />County has with materials markets. <br />b. Total solid waste quantity estimates for the County. <br />c. Equipment and labor to assist in the waste characterization study. <br />d. A list of haulers, and collection routes and schedules for use in <br /> identifying representatives loads. <br />e. Copies of all solid waste ordinances and agreements related to <br /> collection and disposal systems for the County and all incorporated <br /> areas in the County. <br /> <br />The time periods for the performance of ENGINEER's services as set forth <br />in Section 3 of said Agreement are amended and supplemented as follows: <br /> <br />The Basic Services are estimated to be completed within 4 months from <br />receipt of a notice to proceed. This schedule assumes timely <br />cooperation of OWNER and other involved parties during the study for <br />such tasks as providing data and information, attending meetings with <br />ENGINEER, and reviewing study material submitted to OWNER by ENGINEER. <br /> <br />The method of payment for services rendered by ENGINEER shall be as set <br />forth below: <br /> <br />OWNER shall pay ENGINEER a lump sum amount of $29,000 for the Basic <br />Services. Monthly payments for these services will be made to ENGINEER <br />by OWNER based on the proportion of work completed during the month as <br />agreed to by OWNER and ENGINEER. <br /> <br />OWNER has established the following special provisions and/or other <br />considerations or requirements in respect of the Assignment: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br /> Mr. H. C. Needham, Vice President of CSD and Associates, Inc., requested <br />an extension of the six-month period of time granted to ADM Properties on <br />January 25, 1988, in which to submit a formal application for cost-sharing of <br />sewer installation to the King's Grant project. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Chairman Lentz with <br />Commissioners Payne, Hamby, and Melvin and Chairman Lentz voting for and <br />Commissioner Moss voting against, the Board moved that subject to the provi- <br />sions outlined in the Chairman's letter of January 25, 1988, the provisional <br />approval for inclusion of the King's Grant project in the County's financing <br />concept for major utility extensions be extended until December 31, 1988. <br /> Mr. Mike Byrd, Transportation Planner, and Ms. Teresa Melton, Office of <br />Aging Director, reviewed the need for the coordination of vehicles used by <br />the various agencies in Cabarrus County and outlined the possibility of <br />obtaining a Transportation Planning Assistance Grant to be used for the <br />preparation of a Transportation Development Plan for Cabarrus County. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and <br />unanimously carried, the Board endorsed the following letter to the North <br />Carolina Department of Public Transportation to apply for a Transportation <br />Planning Assistance Grant. <br /> July 11, 1988 <br /> <br />Mr. David King, Director <br />N. The Department of Transportation staff representatives met with an <br />informal group on July 6, 1988, in Cabarrus County to discuss proceeding with <br />a transportation plan. <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners voted to apply for a Trans- <br />portation Planning Assistance Grant to the Department of Transportation at <br /> <br /> <br />
