We are requesting a grant amount <br />of Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($17,500.00) to include a federal <br />amount of Fourteen Thousand Dollars ($14,000.00), state amount of One <br />Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty ($1,750.00) and County amount of One Thousand <br />Seven Hundred Fifty ($1,750.00). Upon receipt of the Planning Assistance <br />Grant, a request for proposals (RFP) will be released in compliance with <br />state and local government formal bid procedure. <br /> <br /> It is our understanding, from the Department of Transportation, the <br />Planning Assistance Grant can be amended if the expense incurred exceeds the <br />original amount of Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred ($17,500.00). In the <br />event the amount incurred is higher, we are requesting a commitment from the <br />Department of Transportation that the excess expense would be included in the <br />same formula of 80% federal, 10% state and 10% local match. <br /> <br /> Thank you for your interest in Cabarrus County transportation. The time <br />your staff spent with the county was beneficial. At the request of Mr. Fletcher L. <br />Hartsell, Jr., County Attorney, the proposed Sewer Extension Contract for the <br />Camelot Subdivision, Phase III, was deferred in order for Mr. Hartsell to <br />draft an additional paragraph to be included in the contract. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Chairman Lentz with <br />Commissioners Hamby, Melvin, and Moss and Chairman Lentz voting for and <br />Commissioner Payne voting against, the Board approved the following Airport <br />Appraisal Contract. <br /> <br />County Airport <br />Appraisal Contract <br /> <br />STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br /> THIS CONTRACT made and entered into this the llth day of July, 1988, <br />between Pleas W. Carter Jr. whose address is 128 Church St. N.E. Concord, <br />N.C. hereinafter referred to as the "Appraiser" and Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />TERM <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT shall be effective from the date accepted by Appraiser, <br />and shall continue for ninety (90) days or until October 9, 1988. It is <br />anticipated that the Appraisal will be developed by the Appraiser within <br />ninety (90) days after execution hereof, subject to conditions beyond <br />Appraiser's control. However, Appraiser does represent that the appraisal <br />date will be met. <br /> <br />WORK <br /> <br /> The Appraiser shall perform all work in accordance with the F.A.A. <br />Regulations, and Guidelines. <br /> <br /> <br />
