Pleasant for <br />Fiscal Year 1989-1990 and authorized Chairman Lentz to execute the contract on <br />behalf of Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />CONTRACT TO PROVIDE TAX DISTRICT FIRE SERVICE <br /> <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br /> THIS CONTRACT, made and entered into effective the 1st day of <br />July, 1989, by and between the Town of Mount Pleasant, a municipal <br />corporation, and the County of Cabarrus; <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> That for and in consideration of the mutual covenants <br />hereinafter contained, and pursuant to authority granted by G.S. 69- <br />25.5, G.S. 69-25.6, and G.S. 153A-233, the Town of Mount Pleasant <br />and the County of Cabarrus do hereby covenant and agree as follows: <br /> 1. The County of Cabarrus agrees to annually provide a <br />supplement in the sum of $250.00 per month to the Town of Mount <br />Pleasant. This sum shall be payable as specified in the Cabarrus <br />County Fire Protection Resolution. <br /> 2. The Town of Mount Pleasant agrees to furnish and provide <br />continuing fire protection service to all property lying within its <br />boundaries and to provide mutual aid to other Fire Departments in <br />Cabarrus County as provided in N.C.G.S. 69-40. <br /> 3. The Town of Mount Pleasant agrees to operate within the <br />guidelines set forth in the Cabarrus County Fire Protection <br />Resolution, attached to this contract. <br /> 4.
