January 19, 2016 (Regular Meeting) Page 2627 <br />Resolution No. 2016 -01 <br />Resolution Amending the <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners' <br />2016 Meeting Schedule <br />Whereas, on December 14, 2015, the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners adopted a meeting schedule for calendar year 2016, which sets <br />forth the dates, times and locations of various official county meetings; <br />Whereas, the Board desires to hold a summit, at 6 :00 p.m. on Thursday, <br />January 28, 2016 at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center in Concord, North <br />Carolina; <br />Whereas, the Board holds an annual goal- setting /planning retreat in the <br />winter which is set for January 29 at 4:00 p.m. and January 30 at 8:00 a.m. <br />in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental Center; and <br />Whereas, the Board desires to hold the annual goal- setting /planning <br />retreat in the winter which is set for January 29 at 4:00 p.m. and January 30 <br />at 8:00 a.m, at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center in Concord, North <br />Carolina; <br />Now, therefore be it resolved, the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners hereby amends its 2016 Meeting Schedule as follows: <br />1. The Board of Commissioners will hold the Cabarrus Summit 2016 <br />1st Quarterly Meeting at 6:00 p.m. on January 28, 2016 at the <br />Arena and Events Center in Concord, North Carolina. <br />2. The Board of Commissioners will hold its annual goal - <br />setting /planning retreat in the winter which is set for <br />January 29 at 4 :00 p.m. and January 30 at 8:00 a.m. at the <br />Cabarrus Arena and Events Center in Concord, North Carolina. <br />Adopted this the 19tt day of January, 2016. <br />/s/ Stephen M. Due to divestiture of the CAP (Community Alternatives <br />Program) program, and due to In -Horne Aide services for Home and Community <br />Care Block Grant (HCCBG) being provided under other contractural agreements, <br />our licensure with the state is no longer required. <br />DHS currently provides home management tasks solely to clients who <br />require certification through the NC Division of Aging and Adult Services <br />(DAAS) . The DHS In -Home Aide Program was monitored by DAAS on December 3 -4, <br />2015, at which time the In -Home Aide Policy was reviewed and found to be in <br />compliance, except for approval by the Board of Commissioners. It is <br />requested that the Board approve the DHS In -Home Aide Services Policy. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the Cabarrus County Department of <br />Human Services In -Home Aide Policy. <br />(F -4) Finance - CCS Agency Agreement - New Early College <br />The Cabarrus County Schools (CCS) Agency Agreement, among other items, <br />allows the County to appoint the Board of Education as its agent in <br />connection with the purchase and installation of mobile units for a second <br />Early College location. The new Early College will be located on County - <br />owned property at 660 Concord Parkway in Concord. This location is also home <br />to the Rowan - Cabarrus Community Business and Technology Center. <br />The Board of Education shall cause the new Early College project to be <br />completed in accordance with the respective construction documents and any <br />
