<br />for the Cabarrus County Landfill. He advised a decision on whether to expand
<br />or close the landfill is needed quickly due to the amount of space left in
<br />the current cell. He expressed support for the expansion.

<br />Planning and Development ° Duke Helping Home Grant Funds
<br />Kelly Sifford, Planning and Development Director, reported the North
<br />Carolina Community Action Agency in conjunction with Duke Energy has made
<br />funding available that is designated to expand local Weatherization Services.
<br />She stated Cabarrus County is eligible for $75,000.00 in funding that can be
<br />used for HVAC replacements, the purchase of certain energy efficient
<br />appliances, and health and safety improvements in the home. She advised
<br />Cabarrus County has been using the Duke Energy Carolina (DEC) grant program
