She advised Cox Mill Elementary School was used as a "Pilot" school <br />for reservations last year with few issues. School Administration and County <br />Management met May 17, 2016 to discuss Active Living and Parks assuming <br />responsibility for the outdoor facility reservations and fees process for <br />Bethel Elementary, Cox Mill Elementary, Harrisburg Elementary, Pitts School <br />Road Elementary, Rocky River Elementary and Winecoff Elementary Schools. Ms. <br />Strong discussed fees, site supervisor, and signage and responded to <br />questions from the board. <br />BOC - NACo Voting Credentials - 2016 Annual Conference <br />Mike Downs, County Manager, advised the National Association of <br />Counties (NACo) will hold their 81st Annual Conference in Los Angeles County, <br />California on July 22 -25, 2016. In order to participate in the Association's <br />annual election of officers, he stated the voting form must be completed and <br />returned, authorizing a voting delegate. He recommended Chairman Morris be <br />selected as the voting delegate since he is the only commissioner attending <br />the conference this year. <br />Chairman Morris advised several commissioners attended last year's <br />conference in Charlotte. He stated this year the conference is in Los <br />Angeles, California and added that his trip to the conference is being funded <br />by a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, spearheaded by the <br />Cabarrus Health Alliance (CHS). He advised that Lauren Thomas, CHS, and he <br />will be presenting at one of the sessions. <br />It was the consensus of the Board to designate Chairman Morris as the <br />voting delegate for the NACo Annual Conference in July. <br />SOC - Resolution Amending the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners' Meeting <br />Schedule for Calendar Year 2016 <br />In regards to amending the Boards' 2016 meeting schedule, Chairman <br />Morris stated the Cabarrus Summit 2n Quarterly meeting has been scheduled for <br />June 21St and the Cabarrus Summit 3rd Quarterly meeting has been scheduled for <br />September 22nd. In addition, he said, the Board of Commissioners' meeting <br />room will be undergoing renovations during the month of August and the venue <br />for the August regular meeting will need to be moved to the Multipurpose <br />Room. He advised of the need to suspend the Rules of Procedures due to time <br />constraints. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board suspended it Rules of Procedures in order <br />to take action on the item due to time constraints. By the same motion, the <br />Board adopted the following resolution. <br />Resolution Amending the <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners' <br />2016 Meeting Schedule <br />Resolution No. 2016 -07 <br />Whereas, on December 14, 2015, the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners adopted a meeting schedule for calendar year 2016, which sets <br />forth the dates, times and locations of various official county meetings; <br />Whereas, the Board desires to hold a summit, at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />June 21, 2016 at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center in Concord, North <br />Carolina; and <br />
