The policy is hereby incorporated into the minutes by reference and is on file with the Clerk to the Board. (F-2) Active Living and Parks - Approval of 2016-2017 Matching Incentive Grant Phase II Requests On October 20, 2016, the Active Living and Parks Commission reviewed 6 matching incentive grant requests totaling $43, 198.00 for Phase II funding of the remaining $48, 912. 00. The Active Living and Parks Commission voted unanimously to recommend all projects for BOC review and approval. Participation in this initiative also benefits job seekers preparing for employment through understanding the skills employers require. A local committee met for the first time in September and is working to submit the initial application in the process to become a Certified Work Ready Community. The application packet requires a letter of commitment from various entities and interest groups throughout the County, one of which is the Board of Commissioners. UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Certified Work Ready Community letter of commitment. (F-4) BOC - Resolution Amending the Board of Commissioners' 2016 Meeting Schedule Board members have consulted their schedules and Thursday, December 15, 2016 was selected to hold the Cabarrus Summit - 4th Quarterly Meeting at the City of Concord. The attached resolution approves the updated meeting schedule. Resolution No. 2016-19 Resolution Amending the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners 2016 Meeting Schedule Whereas, on December 14, 2015, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners adopted a meeting schedule for calendar year 2016, which sets forth the dates, times and locations of various official county meetings; and Whereas, the Board desires to hold the Cabarrus Summit 2016 4th Quarterly Meeting at 6: 00 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Concord City Hall in Concord, North Carolina; Now, therefore be it resolved, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners hereby amends its 2016 Meeting Schedule as follows:
