An exception to the <br /> "service on multiple boards" provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed <br /> for her. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Shue, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board removed Kimberly Lane from the Nursing Home <br /> Community Advisory Committee roster and thanked her for her service. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Kiger, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board appointed Evelyn Miller to the Nursing Home <br /> Community Advisory Committee for an initial one-year term ending February 28, <br /> 2018; including an exception to the "service on multiple boards" provision of <br /> the Appointment Policy. <br /> (H-6) Appointments (Removals) - Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> Due to changes in his work schedule, Jeff Griffin has resigned from his <br /> position on the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission as the <br /> "Harrisburg" representative. He has served on the Commission since August, <br /> 2014 . <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Shue, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board removed Jeff Griffin from the Cabarrus County <br /> Planning and Zoning Commission roster and thanked him for his service. <br /> (H-7) Appointments - Update to Commissioner Appointment for 2017 <br /> Blake Kiger was appointed as a Cabarrus County Commissioner to fill the <br /> vacancy following the resignation of former commissioner, Grace Mynatt. A chart <br /> was provided showing updates of commissioner appointments to various boards and <br /> committees and appointments as liaisons to the surrounding municipalities for <br /> 2017 . <br /> UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Kiger <br /> and unanimously carried, the Board approved the updated Commissioner <br /> appointments for 2017 as set forth in the Agenda. <br /> UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Kiger <br /> and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Commissioner Poole to serve on the <br /> Mental Health Advisory Board for a term expiring December 31, 2017. <br /> Chairman Morris recognized Justen Morgan, Youth Commissioner, <br /> representing A.L. Brown High School, who was in attendance. <br /> (I) REPORTS <br /> (I-1) County Manager - Monthly New Development Report <br /> The Board received the monthly new development report for informational <br /> purposes. No action was required of the Board. <br /> (1-2) County Manager - Monthly Reports on Building Activity <br /> The Board received the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Dodge Report <br /> for January 2017 and the Cabarrus County Commercial Building Plan Review Summary <br /> for January 2017 for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No action <br /> was required of the Board. <br /> (I-3) EDC - January 2017 Monthly Summary Report <br /> The Board received the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC) <br /> monthly report for the month of January as part of the Agenda. No action was <br /> required of the Board. <br /> (I-4) Finance - Monthly Financial Update <br /> The Board received the monthly financial update for informational <br /> purposes. No action was required of the Board. <br /> (I-5) Sheriff's Office - Quarterly Report <br /> The Board received the Sheriff' s Office Quarterly Report for informational <br /> purposes. No action was required of the Board. <br /> (I-6) BOC - Receive Updates from Commissioner Members Who Serve as Liaisons <br />
