Consider <br /> adding new type of use called Permanent Temporary Event Facility to <br /> Chapter 7, Chapter 2 Rules of Construction and Definitions, and Chapter <br /> 3 Establishment of Zones. Additions <br /> and corrections are in red text. <br /> In addition, Ms. Morris advised the changes requested by the Board at the <br /> May 1, 2017 Work Session have been included. She requested the Boards' <br /> consideration to approve the proposed amendments. She stated a public hearing <br /> is required as part of consideration of the proposed amendments. <br /> Chairman Morris opened the Public Hearing at 7:07 p.m. The Public Hearing <br /> Notice was published on May 3 and 10, 2017 in The Independent Tribune. The <br /> Public Hearing Notice was also posted on the County' s website <br /> (www.cabarruscounty.us) on May 3, 2017 in accordance with Article 2, <br /> Administration, Section 2. 1 (Use of Electronic Means to Provide Public Notices) <br /> of the Cabarrus County Code of Ordinances. <br /> There was no one present to address the Board. However, Richard Koch, <br /> County Attorney, interjected on behalf of certain attorneys and citizens <br /> involved in the matter who were unable to attend. He advised those individuals <br /> requested Text Amendment TEXT2017-00004 be tabled until the August, 2017 Board <br /> meeting to allow their attendance and to address the Board regarding this <br /> proposed amendment. <br /> Chairman Morris then closed the public hearing on Text Amendments TEXT <br /> 2017-00001, TEXT2017-00002 and TEXT2017-00003. <br /> Vice Chairman Honeycutt MOVED to adopt the proposed text amendments <br /> TEXT2017-00001, 00002 and 00003. Commissioner Shue seconded the motion. <br /> A discussion ensued.
