January 20, 2015 (Regular Meeting) <br />Page 2254 <br />Spay it Forward would like to request the reinstatement of funds at a <br />level of $15,000.00 and the County would receive the allocated amount that <br />the state provides as reimbursement in the year of the expenditure. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to allow the Deputy County Manager <br />and County Attorney to work with Spay It Forward to establish agreements with <br />the state and the local spay neuter clinic to reestablish the spay neuter <br />program in Cabarrus County and fund the project at a level of $15,000.00. <br />Date:12 /15/2014 Amount:$15,000 <br />Dept. The Department <br />is proposing a reduced fee for families at or below the 200 percent poverty <br />level. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the proposed Adoption Fee <br />Schedule. <br />The Adoption Fee Schedule is as follows: <br />CABARRUS CCUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES <br />ADOPTION SERVICES <br />FEE SCHEDULE <br />In compliance with 10 NCAC 70H.01113, The Cabarrus County Department of <br />Social Services will charge the following fees for certain adoption services <br />as outlined in <br />G.S. 48- 3- 304(a) and G.S. 48- 2- 504(a): <br />• The preparation of a Pre - Placement Assessment $1200 <br />• A report to the Court $300 <br />The following specific services will be provided according to the type of <br />adoption request:. <br />(1) Stepparent and Relative Adoptions <br />• Initial application; <br />• Home visit(s) for data collection and assessment of home for <br />placement; <br />• Report to the Clerk of Court <br />(2) Independent Adoption <br />• Social Assessment <br />• Development of Social History <br />• Adoption Assessment document <br />• Reference checks <br />• Criminal background review <br />• Review of Central Registry for reports of abuse and /or neglect <br />• Post - adoption adjustment services <br />
