April 20, 201.5 (Regular Meeting) Page 2354 <br />Commissioner Mynatt MOVED to adopt the proclamation. She urged the <br />public to choose native plants for their landscaping projects. <br />Commissioner Shue seconded the motion. He stated since becoming the <br />liaison to the Soil and Water Conservation District Board, he has learned <br />more about the importance of preservation of land and wildlife. He also <br />expressed appreciation to Ned Hudson for his many years of service. <br />As a bee - keeper, Chairman Morris expressed appreciation for the <br />education and emphasis on pollinators. <br />The M©T1ON unanimously carried. <br />Proclamation No. 2015 -07 <br />Soil and Water Stewardship Week <br />2015 <br />P R O C L A M A T I O N <br />Whereas fertile soil and clean water provide us with our daily <br />sustenance, and <br />Whereas effective conservation practices have helped provide us a rich <br />standard of living, and <br />Whereas our security depends upon healthy soil and clean water, and <br />Whereas stewardship calls for each person to help conserve these <br />precious resources, <br />Therefore, I do hereby proclaim <br />April 26 to May 3, 2015 <br />Soil and Water Stewardship Week <br />/s/ Stephen M.
