June 15, 2015 (.Regular Meeting) Page 2475 <br />Dari Caldwell, Tom Kincaid and James Mack, Jr. serve on the Public <br />Health Authority of Cabarrus County and have terms ending June 30, 2015. All <br />wish to serve another term. Ms. Caldwell is currently a county resident, but <br />did note she is in the process of building a home in Rowan County and will <br />update her contact information at that time. She anticipates it will be <br />several months before she moves and is willing to continue serving after that <br />time. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Dari Caldwell, Tom Kincaid and <br />James Mack, Jr. to the Public Health Authority of Cabarrus County for three - <br />year terms ending June 30, 2018. <br />(H -10) Appointments - Region F Aq±ng Advisory Committee <br />Betty Barnhardt, Jean Chandler and Carol Vogt serve on the Region F <br />Aging Advisory Committee and have terms expiring June 30, 2015. All are <br />willing to serve another term. <br />Carol Vogt has served as a delegate representative since 2009. She is <br />eligible to serve a one -year term as an "alternate" representative and is <br />recommended for appointment to that position by the CCOG Program Assistant. <br />Betty Barnhardt is willing to serve as a "delegate" and is recommended <br />for appointment to that position by the CCOG Program Assistant. <br />Jean Chandler is eligible for reappointment as a "delegate" and is <br />recommended for reappointment to that position by the CLOG Program Assistant. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Carol Vogt to the Region F Aging <br />Advisory Committee as the "Alternate" representative for a one -year term <br />ending Jun 30, 2016; appointed Betty Barnhardt to the Region F Aging Advisory <br />Committee as a "Delegate" representative for a two -year term ending June 30, <br />2017; and reappointed Jean Chandler to the Region F Aging Advisory Committee <br />as a "Delegate" representative for a two -year term ending June 30, 2017. <br />(H -11) Appointments - Tourism Authority of Cabarrus County <br />Joel Griffin, Angie Brown and Jennifer Parsley serve on the Cabarrus <br />County Tourism Authority and have terms ending June 30, 2015. They are all <br />willing to serve an additional term. The Cabarrus County Tourism Authority <br />has submitted the following nominating groups and nominees as follows: <br />- Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce - Seat #6 Joel Griffin <br />(Hotelier) <br />- Cabarrus County Tourism Authority - #5 Angie Brown (Hotelier) <br />- Cabarrus County Tourism Authority - #11 Jennifer Parsley (At Large) <br />Note: Joel Griffin represents integral parts of the Cabarrus County tourism <br />industry, but as a Mecklenburg resident he will require an exception to the <br />"residency" provision of the Appointment Policy. <br />In addition, the term for Seat 44 (BCC Member or County Manager) ends <br />June 30, 2015. Vice Chairman Poole has served in this position and is <br />willing to be reappointed. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Joel Griffin (Seat #6) to the <br />Cabarrus County Tourism Authority for a three -year term ending June 30, 2018, <br />including an exception to the "residency" provision of the Appointment <br />Policy. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Angie Brown (Seat #5) to the <br />Cabarrus County Tourism Authority for a three -year term ending June 30, 2018. <br />UPON MOTION of Ccmmissicner Shue, seconded by Commissioner Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Jennifer Parsley (Seat #11) to <br />the Cabarrus County Tourism Authority for a three -year term ending June 30, <br />2018. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Vice Chairman Elizabeth Poole <br />
