June 15, 2015 (Regular Meeting) Page 2475 <br />(30C Member) to the Cabarrus County Tourism Authority for a three -year term <br />ending June 30, 2018. <br />(H -12) Appointments and Removals - Transportation Advisory Board <br />Cindy Hall "Human Services ", Kathy Mowrer "Human Services" and Delton <br />Russell "NC Mental Health" serve on the Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) <br />and have terms expiring June 30, 2015. <br />Cindy Hall no longer attends the TAB meetings. It is requested to <br />remove her name from the roster. <br />Kathy Mowrer "Human Services" and Delton Russell "NC Mental Health" are <br />willing to serve another term. <br />An application for the TAB was received from Larry Bonds. He is <br />willing to serve on this Board and is eligible to be appointed to a "Citizen <br />Advocate /Retired" position. <br />There are currently 7 vacancies on this Board. <br />Chairman Morris advised most of the positions on this Board are <br />specifically designated categories. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board removed Cindy Hall from the Transportation <br />Advisory Board roster and thanked her for her many years of service. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Kathy Mowrer "Human Services" <br />and Delton Russell "NC Mental Health" to the Transportation Advisory Board <br />for three -year terms ending June 30, 2018. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Larry Bonds to the <br />Transportation Advisory Board as a "Citizen Advocate /Retired" representative <br />for a three -year term ending June 30, 2018. <br />There was a brief discussion regarding the vacant positions. <br />(H -13) Appointments - Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County <br />Vice Chairman Elizabeth Poole and Jonathan Marshall, Deputy County <br />Manager, both serve on the Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County and <br />have terms expiring June 3C, 2015. Both are willing to serve another term. <br />Commissioner Shue MOVED to reappoint Vice Chairman Elizabeth Poole and <br />Jonathan Marshall to the Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County for <br />three -year terms ending June 30, 2018. Commissioner Honeycutt seconded the <br />motion. <br />Vice Chairman Poole advised Jonathan Marshall has been a very valuable <br />member during his time on this Board. <br />The MOTION unanimously carried. <br />(I) REPORTS <br />(I -1) County Manager - Monthly Reports on Buildinq Activit <br />The Board received the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Dodge <br />Report for May 2015 and the Cabarrus County Commercial Building Plan Review <br />Summary for May 2015 for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No <br />action was required of the Board. <br />(I -2) EDC - April 2015 Monthly Summary Report <br />The Board received the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC) <br />monthly report for the month of May as part of the Agenda. No action was <br />required of the Board. <br />(I -3) Finance -- Monthly Financial Update <br />The Board received the monthly financial update for informational <br />purposes. No action was required of the Board. <br />
