<br />F -9) Human Services - Approval of Title VI Program Poli
<br />Department of Human Services, Transportation Division is requesting
<br />approval of the Transportation Title VI Program Policy. The Transportation
<br />Division is completing the pre- application process in order to apply for the
<br />Federal 5307 transportation grant.
<br />The 5307 grant is an urbanized formula funding program that allocates
<br />Federal resources to urbanized areas for transportation needs. The Federal
<br />Transportation Administration (FTA) requires our Title VI program be in
<br />compliance with Chapter IV FTA C 4702.1B. as part of the pre - application
<br />grant process.
<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the Cabarrus County Department of
<br />Human Services Transportation Division Title VI Policy.
<br />(F -10) Infrastructure and Asset Management - Award of Van, SUV and
<br />Hybrids (s) Bids
<br />A public bid for one (1) van, one (1) SUV, and four (4) hybrids was_
<br />advertised and a total of three (3) companies submitted sealed bids on the
<br />various vehicles. Based on the outcome of those bids, it is recommended to
<br />purchase one (1) van and one (1) SUV from Hilbish Ford for a total amount of
<br />$48,434.00 (price does not include tag and taxes). It is also recommended to
<br />purchase four (4) hybrids from Cloninger Ford Toyota Scion for a total amount
<br />of $83,600.00 (price does include tag and taxes).
