August 17, 2015 (Regular Meeting) Page 2520 UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and unanimously carried, the Board approved the bid award and authorize the County Manager to execute the contracts between Cabarrus County and Hilbish Ford and Cloninger Ford Toyota Scion, subject to review or revision by the County Attorney. (F -11) Sheriff's Office - New Radio Consoles for Sheriff's Office Communications Back -up Center The Sheriff's Office currently has a back -up communications center located at the Department of Human Services. This center is maintained in case of failure at the main communications center located at the Sheriff's Office. At this time, the back -up center only has mobile radios for use by the telecommunicators with no paging capabilities. New consoles would give the capability to page /dispatch Law Enforcement, EMS, and Fire to emergency calls in the same way it is done from the main communications center. Four consoles are needed for the back -up site. These four consoles would cost $195,810 and could be purchased from Motorola using 911 funds. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and unanimously carried, the Board approved the purchase of four (4) radio consoles from Motorola for a total of $195,810.00 to be used at the Sheriff's Office back -up communications center. Refund report is a summary sheet which lists data from each refund request form, along with the justification for the refunds to the taxpayers in accordance with N.C.G.S. 105 -381. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and unanimously carried, the Board approved the July 2015 Release - Refund Report as submitted and granted authority to the Tax Collector to process the refunds and releases. The report is hereby incorporated into the minutes by reference and is on file with the Clerk to the Board. (G) NEW BUSINESS (G -1) Human Services - Approval to Submit 5310 Transportation Grant Application - Public Hearing 6:30 P.M. Chairman Morris opened the public hearing at 6:49 p.m. The Public Hearing Notice was published in English and Spanish on August 5, 2015 in The Independent Tribune. The Public Hearing Notice was also posted on the County's website ( www.cabarruscounty.us ) on August 5, 2015 in accordance with Article 2, Administration, Section 2.1 (Use of Electronic Means to Provide Public Notices) of the Cabarrus County Code of Ordinances. There was no one present to address the Board; therefore Chairman Morris closed the public hearing.
