The County sets the following fees for <br />the following offices: <br />Sheriff ($101,823.68 x 1s) = $1,018.24 <br />Commissioner ($12,308.88 x 1%) = $123.09 <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Measmer, seconded by Vice Chairman Burrage <br />and unanimously carried, the Board set the candidate filing fees as presented <br />for the offices of sheriff and County Commissioner. <br />(F -5) County Manager - Update to Interlocal Agreement for the Establishment <br />of the Regional Radio Advisory Council <br />Cabarrus County is a member in a "shared" regional radio system <br />maintained by the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. This regional <br />system allows the County to benefit from enhanced equipment, services and <br />coverage. The Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners and the Charlotte <br />City Council recently adopted an update to our interlocal agreement, thereby <br />establishing the Regional Radio Advisory Council, along with its charter and <br />bylaws. The next step is for the updated agreement to be approved by Union <br />and Cabarrus Counties. The updated interlocal agreement and related <br />resolutions have been attached for your review. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Measmer, seconded by Vice Chairman Burrage <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the Resolution to Approve and <br />Ratify an Interlocal Agreement for Regional Radio System Governance By and <br />Amongh the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg county and Other Users of the <br />Regional Radio System;. and in so doing, approved the updated language of the <br />Interlocal agreement. <br />Resolution No. 2014 -01 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CABARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS TO APPROVE AND <br />RATIFY AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR REGIONAL RADIO SYSTEM GOVERNANCE BY AND <br />AMONG THE CITY OF CHARLOTTE, MECKLENBURG COUNTY AND OTHER USERS OF THE <br />REGIONAL RADIO SYSTEM <br />WHEREAS, the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County jointly developed <br />an 800 MHz trunked radio system to support public safety needs and provide <br />service to various city and county departments; <br />WHEREAS, Charlotte has been designated the lead agency for regional <br />communications interoperability of public safety agencies within the Urban <br />Area Security Initiative (UASI) eleven county region, and has established the <br />infrastructure necessary for regional voice communications interoperability <br />with the support of several grants; <br />WHEREAS, since 2003, other local government entities have joined <br />Charlotte and Mecklenburg in sharing use of the regional components of the <br />radio system (the "Regional Radio System," as defined more specifically in <br />this Agreement) and have signed service agreements to that effect; <br />WHEREAS, Cabarrus County has entered into a radio service agreement <br />with Charlotte in order to use the Regional Radio System; <br />WHEREAS, Cabarrus County and the other users of the Regional Radio <br />System now desire to expand use of the Regional Radio System throughout the <br />region, with the goal of enhancing and improving interoperability of public <br />safety communications between and among government entities; <br />
