(C - 4) Presentation of an Eagle Scout Project
Aiden Stiles, Eagle Scout Candidate from 'Troop 128, Epworth United
Methodist Church, presented a PowerPoint presentation of his Eagle Scout
project. For his project, he chose to build a park shaped like a dog bone in
the backyard at Ruth's Memorial Shelter (A Humane Society of Concord
Facility). He stated his budget was approximately $2,500.00. With the help
of his Troop, family members and friends, he landscaped the backyard, created
a bone - shaped rock area with four bone - shaped benches. He planted a redbud
tree in the center of the park area and a plaque has been positioned in front
of the tree.
Chairman Poole commended Aiden on his project.
Mike Sims, Humane Society of Concord and Greater Cabarrus County,
thanked Aiden for his accomplishment. He also recognized Aiden's family in
attendance and thanked them for their support.
