Smit, Clerk to the Board <br />(G -4) Planning and Development - Text Amendment: TEXT2012- 00004- Chapter 1, <br />General Provisions - Public Hearing - 6:30 P.M. <br />Susie Morris, Planning and Zoning Manager, stated it was determined <br />changes were needed to Chapter 1, General Provisions. She advised the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously on December 11, 2012 to <br />forward this language to the Board of Commissioners for final consideration. <br />Chairman Poole opened the public hearing at 7:28 p.m. The Public <br />Hearing Notice was published on January 9 and 16, 2013 in The Independent <br />Tribune. The Public Hearing Notice was also posted on the County's website <br />( www.cabarrus county. us ) on January 8, 2013 in accordance with Article 2, <br />Administration, Section 2.1 (Use of Electronic Means to Provide Public <br />Notices) of the Cabarrus County Code of Ordinances. <br />There was no one present to address the Board; therefore, Chairman <br />Poole closed the public hearing. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman White, seconded by Commissioner Burrage <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved TEXT 2012 -00004 - Text Amendment <br />to Chapter 1, General Provisions of the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance. <br />Ordinance No. 2013 -03 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE <br />TEXT2012- 00004 <br />BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended as <br />follows: <br />DELETE current Chapter 1, General Provisions and REPLACE with new Chapter 1, <br />General Provisions. <br />Adopted this 22 day of January, 2013 by the Cabarrus County <br />Board of Commissioners. <br />/s/ Elizabeth F. Smit, Clerk to the Board <br />(H -1) Appointments (Removals) - Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee <br />Due to scheduling conflicts, Belinda Dublin has resigned from her <br />position on the Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee. Also, due to a <br />change in her work schedule, Shana King is unable to complete her required <br />orientation. The Regional Ombudsman requests the removal of Ms. Dublin and <br />Ms. King from the Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee roster. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman White, seconded by Commissioner Burrage <br />and unanimously carried, the Board removed Belinda Dublin and Shana King from <br />the Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee roster as requested by the <br />Regional Ombudsman. <br />(H -2) Appointments - Agricultural Advisory Board <br />The terms of appointment for Thomas Barbee and Eddie Moose end January <br />31, 2013. Mr. Barbee and Mr. Moose are willing to serve another term. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Burrage, seconded by Commissioner Measmer <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Thomas Barbee and Eddie Moose <br />
