No action was required of the Board. (I -3) Planning and Development - CDBG Monthly Report for February The Board received the monthly report for CDBG activity for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (I -4) Request for Applications for County Boards /Committees Applications are being accepted for the following County Boards /Committees: • Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee - 6 Vacancies • Animal Protection and Preservation Advisory Committee - 9 Expired Positions and 1 Vacant Position • Board of Equalization and Review - 2 Positions with Expiring Terms • Centralina Workforce Development Board - 2 Positions with Expiring Terms • Concord Planning and Zoning Commission (ETJ) - 1 Vacant Position • Council for a Sustainable Local Economy - 1 Vacant Position • Food Policy Council - S Positions with Expired Terms • Harrisburg Fire Advisory Board - 2 Positions With Expired Terms • Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority - 1 Expired Term and 2 Vacant Positions • Jury Commission - 1 Position with Expiring Term • Juvenile Crime Prevention Council - 4 Positions with Expiring Terms and 1 Vacant Positions • Mt. (I -5) BOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons to Municipalities or on Various Board /Committees Chairman Poole updated the Board on the most recent MPO meeting. She also advised WSACC is proceeding with a project at the waste treatment plant. J) GENERAL COMMENTS BY BOARD MEMBERS Vice Chairman White voiced support for the planetarium project and requested that it be considered during the budget process. He also commended Perry Gabriel and Ben Sharpe for their service on the previous Saturday during the Cabarrus Literacy Council (CLC) Fun Run at Frank Liske Park. The CLC had a large turnout for the 5K run with roughly 350 participants.
