Department of Transportation has requested to purchase a <br />temporary construction easement on the north /northwest side of the Rocky <br />River Elementary School property as part of the double track rail project <br />around Harrisburg. The purchase request is for less than a tenth of an acre. <br />The standard practice of the Board has been to approve a budget amendment <br />that allows the proceeds of the sale to benefit the affected school. This <br />item has been sent to Board of Education staff for their review and approval. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Burrage, seconded by Vice Chairman White <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the sale of a temporary <br />construction easement to NCDOT and authorized the County Manager and County <br />Attorney to execute the required documents. <br />Date:5 /15/2013 Amount:$375 <br />Dept. The vehicle requested for transfer is <br />(1) 2006 Ford Crown Vic, VIN No. 2FAHP71W56X157646. General Services and <br />Finance Departments have both reviewed the request and the attached vehicle <br />is available for surplus transfer to the Odell Volunteer Fire and Rescue <br />Department per NCGS 153A -176, 16OA -274 and 160A -280. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Burrage, seconded by Vice Chairman White <br />and unanimously carried, the Board declared surplus property (1) 2006 Ford <br />Crown Vic, VIN No. 2FAHP71W56X157646 and transferred said vehicle to the <br />Odell Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. <br />(F -8) Finance - Administrative Transfer of Grant Fundings from the General <br />Fund to a Multi -Year Special Revenue Fund, Special Projects Fund <br />The second phase of the Porter Farm Grant was inadvertently placed in <br />the General Fund Budget versus the Special Projects Fund. It is requested, <br />for accounting and tracking purposes, to place the second phase with along <br />with the first phase. <br />Additionally, it is requested to transfer a matching portion of the <br />Clark Creek Grant from the General Fund to the Special Projects Fund, in <br />order to keep associated grant expenditures with the grant for accounting and <br />tracking purposes. <br />Neither request increases the grant funding nor the County's match. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Burrage, seconded by Vice Chairman White <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the budget amendment and the <br />updated Budget Ordinance. <br />Date :5 /20/2013 Amount:$539,800.00 <br />Dept.
