Pleasant and Cabarrus County, there <br />are no other applications on file for consideration. An exception to the <br />"length of service" provision of the Appointment Policy is needed for each <br />member. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman White, seconded by Commissioner Morris and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed John Murdock, III; Whit Moose, Jr. <br />and Margaret Strickland (alternate) to the Mt. Pleasant Planning Board and <br />Board of Adjustment (ETJ) for three -year terms ending June 30, 2016; <br />including an exception to the "length of service" provision of the <br />Appointment Policy for each member. <br />Chairman Poole urged residents of the Mt. Pleasant ETJ area to apply <br />for these positions for future appointments.. <br />(H -6) Appointments - Public Health Authority of Cabarrus County <br />The terms of appointment for Phyllis Wingate -Jones and H. Jay White, <br />Sr. expire on June 30, 2013. Both members have been recommended for <br />reappointment and are willing to serve another term. An exception to the <br />"residency" provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed for Ms. <br />Wingate- Jones. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Measmer, seconded by Commissioner Burrage <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Phyllis Wingate -Jones "Member <br />or Designee Northeast Medical Center Board of Trustees" and H. Jay White, Sr. <br />"Member or Designee of Board of Commissioners" to the Public Health Authority <br />of Cabarrus County for three -year terms ending June 30, 2016; including an <br />exception to the "residency" provision of the Appointment Policy for Ms. <br />Wingate - Jones. <br />(H -7) Appointments - RCCC Board of Trustees <br />Rowan - Cabarrus Community College (RCCC) Board of Trustees Chairman, <br />Carl Short, Jr. and Dr. Carol Spalding, RCCC President, request the <br />reappointment of Ms. Cynthia Mynatt and Mr. Irvin Newberry to the RCCC Board <br />of Trustees for four -year terms ending June 30, 2017. An exception to the <br />"length of service" provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed. <br />A discussion ensued regarding the length of service and voting <br />positions on this board. Commissioner Morris is the Board liaison for this <br />board. <br />Commissioner Burrage MOVED to reappoint Ms. Cynthia Mynatt and Mr. <br />Irvin Newberry to the Rowan- Cabarrus Community College Board of Trustees to <br />complete four -year terms ending June 30, 2017; including an exception to the <br />"length of service" provision of the Appointment Policy for Ms. Mynatt and <br />Mr. Newberry. Commissioner Morris seconded the motion and the MOTION failed <br />with Commissioners Burrage and Morris voting for and Chairman Poole, Vice <br />Chairman White and Commissioner Measmer voting against. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman White, seconded by Chairman Poole and <br />carried, with Chairman Poole, Vice Chairman White and Commissioner Measmer <br />voting for and Commissioners Burrage and Morris voting against, the Board <br />reappointed Ms. Cynthia Mynatt to the Rowan - Cabarrus Community College Board <br />of Trustees for a four -year term ending June 30, 2017; including an exception <br />to the "length of service" provision for Ms. Mynatt, and appointed <br />Commissioner Morris to the Rowan - Cabarrus Community College Board of Trustees <br />for a four -year term ending June 30, 2017. <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding appointment for a liaison to this <br />board. <br />(H -8) Appointments - Region F Aging Advisory Committee <br />The term of appointment for Carol Vogt expires June 30, 2013. She is <br />currently serving as a "delegate" and is eligible for reappointment for a <br />two -year term. <br />The term of appointment for Jean Chandler expires June 30, 2013. She <br />is currently serving as an "alternate" and is now eligible to be reappointed <br />as a "delegate" for a two -year term. She also serves on the Senior Centers <br />
