Pleasant <br />Oesterreich <br />Transportation Advisory Board <br />Morris <br />Water and Sewer Authority <br />Poole & <br />Marshall <br />Watershed Improvement Commission <br />Morris <br />Youth Council <br />Measmer <br />(I -3) Appointments - Cabarrus County Tourism Authority <br />The Cabarrus County Tourism Authority recommends the appointment of <br />Tammy Whaley to fill an unexpired term ending June 30, 2016. The position <br />was vacated by the resignation of John Cox from the Tourism Authority. <br />The nominating group and their nominee is as follows. <br />Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce - Seat No. 9 - Tammy Whaley <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Burrage, seconded by Commissioner Morris <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Tammy Whaley to Seat No. 9 on <br />the Cabarrus County Tourism Authority to complete an unexpired term ending <br />June 30, 2016. <br />(I -4) Appointments - Council for a Sustainable Local Economy (CSLE) <br />The Council for a Sustainable Local Economy (CSLE) requests the <br />appointment of Helen McInnis and Robert Brown to the CSLE. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Measmer, seconded by Commissioner Burrage <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Helen McInnis to the Council for <br />a Sustainable Local Economy to complete an unexpired term ending December 31, <br />2013. By the same vote, the Board appointed Robert Brown to the Council for <br />a Sustainable Local Economy for a one -year term ending December 31, 2014. <br />(I -5) Appointments - Home and Community Care Block Grant (HCCBG) Advisory <br />Committee <br />An application has been received from Janice Yow for the Home and <br />Community Care Block Grant (HCCBG) Advisory Committee. At its July 15, 2013 <br />meeting, the HCCBG Advisory Committee voted to recommend Ms. Yow to fill the <br />vacant "At- large" position. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Measmer, seconded by Commissioner Burrage <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Janice Yow to the Home and <br />Community Care Block Grant Advisory Committee as an "At- large" representative <br />for a three -year term ending December 31, 2016. <br />(I -6) Appointments - Planning and Zoning Commission <br />Danny Fesperman's term ends on August 31, 2013. He serves as the <br />"Central Area" representative. He has served on the commission for eight <br />years and is not eligible for reappointment. Andrew Deal's term as an <br />"Alternate" ends August 31, 2014, and he respectfully requests to be <br />appointed to the Planning and Zoning Commission as a regular member, <br />fulfilling Mr. Fesperman's seat as the "Central Area" representative for a <br />term ending August 31, 2016. <br />The terms of Shannon Frye "At- Large" and Armistead Eugene Divine <br />"Harrisburg" representatives end August 31, 2013, and they respectfully <br />request to be reappointed to the Planning and Zoning Commission for another <br />three -year term ending August 31, 2016. Mr. Divine also serves on the <br />Watershed Improvement Commission; an exception to the "service on multiple <br />boards" provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed for him. <br />Chris Pinto's one -year term ends August 31, 2013, and he respectfully <br />requests to be reappointed to the Planning and Zoning Commission as an <br />
