The cash payment limit using County fundinq (GA, AA, EA, or 2000) <br />will be limited to a total amount not exceeding $300.00 in any 12- <br />month period, per household. (i.e. Household receives $300.00 from <br />Adult Assistance therefore cannot receive additional funds from GA, <br />EA, or 200o). The applicant must be within the 2000 <br />poverty limit. <br />S. Services that can be provided under this program: <br />• One time work - related expenses <br />• Limited transportation of no more than 30 calendar days <br />(beginning with date of application) <br />• A thorough assessment by a social worker for any additional <br />services needed and available. <br />9. Individuals who have received crisis assistance (General Assistance, <br />Adult Assistance, Emergency Assistance 200% and /or Crisis <br />Intervention Program) in the amount of $300.00 will be required to <br />attend budget classes before future assistance may be provided. <br />Worker will reaister individual for budaet class when household has <br />reached the $300.00 funding limit for any of the above financial <br />assistance programs. Worker will advise the individual that they <br />must attend budget class before any future assistance can be <br />provided. Failure to attend the budget classes will result in <br />denial of future County funded crisis assistance for any period <br />beyond the current 12 months. <br />10. Payment will not be authorized for heating or cooling expenses <br />during the Crisis Intervention Program season from 200% funds. <br />200% funds will only be authorized when natural gas is used as a <br />cooking source when Crisis Intervention Program funds are <br />unavailable. Combination of funds from different county funding <br />sources to resolve the crisis must have the Program <br />Administrator /Director Approval. <br />Cabarrus County budgeted $55,000 for FY 2011 from the Work First Block <br />Grant to fund the 200% assistance program. <br />Certificate for Amendment to Work First Plan <br />This is to certify that on August 15, 2011 the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners reviewed and approved the changes listed below on the Work <br />First Plan for FY2010 -11. <br />* VI. Jay White, Sr., Chairman <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Burrage, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the amendment to the Work First <br />Plan. <br />(F -4) DSS - Proclamation Proclaiming September as Child Support Awareness <br />Month <br />The Child Support Services Division of the Department of Social <br />Services (DSS) will be recognizing the month of September, 2011, as Child <br />Support Awareness Month. An informational news piece will be submitted to <br />Communications and Outreach for local release including local and state child <br />support statistics and basic service information. Copies of this same <br />information will be provided to the DSS partners in promotion of awareness of <br />our services that can be shared with their clients. A Child Support <br />informational services video is currently in the preparation stage initiated <br />by Judge Marty McGee with the Child Support Supervisor and is to be filmed <br />and produced by Channel 22 on August 29, 2011.
