December 5, 2011 (Work Session) <br />Page 880 <br />• This team will consist of 4 staff from Social Services, 2 <br />staff from Aging, 2 staff from Transportation, and 1 staff <br />from Legal <br />• The team will be lead by a senior manager <br />• This team will be charged with developing practices and <br />protocol regarding customer service and interagency <br />communication <br />• Develop a strategic plan by which to achieve and sustain <br />the vision and mission of the new agency <br />• Develop key performance indicators to gauge achievement of <br />strategic goals <br />• This team will begin work January 15, 2012 and complete <br />work by April 30, 2012 <br />2. Conduct community outreach to educate and inform the public <br />regarding the integration of human services, mission, and vision <br />statement <br />Assigned: Senior Management Team /Communications & Outreach/ <br />County <br />Management /County Commissioners and Boards <br />Date: Conduct outreach efforts between January and June of 2012 <br />Objectives: <br />• Press Releases through Communication /Outreach <br />• Produce a short video describing the process and services <br />• Develop power -point presentation for community groups and <br />civic clubs <br />• Present information to civic groups and community <br />organizations <br />• Develop stakeholder forums to educate partners and receive <br />feedback <br />• Conduct town hall meetings with targeted customers and <br />communities at large, <br />• including community presentations in each municipality <br />• Develop a logo /brand for the new Cabarrus County Human <br />Services (CCHS) <br />3. Develop and plan for facility integration within the Human <br />Services Center <br />Assigned: Senior Management /General Services /County <br />Management /County <br />Commissioners /Architect /Staff <br />Date: Ongoing <br />Objectives: <br />• Develop sufficient office and storage space within the HSC <br />at the least possible cost <br />• Design a Customer Service Center that can expand with the <br />growing customer base and meet the needs of the agency for <br />at least 20 years <br />• Ensure adequate parking and facility needs <br />• Increase storage space to reduce reliance on outside <br />storage and pods <br />• Designate current space that can be utilized by all <br />agencies not yet located within HSC (January 1, 2012) <br />• Assess feasibility of moving Legal Department to HSC center <br />by February 28, 2012 <br />• Assess and determine needs for satellite services <br />• Integrate technology, phone and automated systems where <br />applicable <br />• Utilize technology to reduce filing and paper storage <br />needs. Scan and destroy paper files where applicable to <br />reduce space needs. <br />4. Develop staff integration plans and assess functionality of <br />all positions within Human Services <br />Assigned: Senior Management Team /Human Resources /County <br />Management <br />Date: Ongoing <br />Objectives: <br />
