Wolf Meadow Elementary School - 114.23% J.N. Fries Middle School - 108.330 Jay M. Robinson High School - 99.01°s Including previously approved subdivisions, these schools will be functioning at the following capacity upon completion of The Village at Dreaming Creek subdivision project: Wolf Meadow Elementary School -131.065 a J.N. Fries Middle School - 127.720 Jay M. Robinson High School - 110.96°s There are no improvements scheduled over the next five years that would provide relief for Wolf Meadow Elementary School. A new middle school is scheduled for 2009 on Hickory Ridge Road. When this new school opens 300 students will be transferred from J. N. Fries Middle School to the new middle school due to redistricting. A new middle school is scheduled for 2009 in the northwest/Weddington Road area. When this new middle school opens, 100 students will be transferred from J. N. Fries Middle School to the new middle school due to redistricting. A new high school is scheduled for 2013 in the west/central area of the County. When this new school opens 350 students will be transferred from Jay M. Robinson High School to the new high school due to redistricting. Cabarrus County Schools operating at 110°s capacity are considered to be operating at maximum capacity. In response to a question from the Board, Ms. Morris stated the lots were accounted for in the inventory in 2007. Commissioner Carruth MOVED to approve the Consent Agreement between Cabarrus County and Yates Properties, LLC for The Village at Dreaming Creek subdivision, including the payment of $4,039.00 per single-family lot to advance school adequacy with payment due at final platting, and including the payment of $1,331.00 per multi-family unit to advance school adequacy with payment due prior to final platting; and to authorize the County Manager to execute the Agreement on behalf of Cabarrus County, subject to review or revisions by the County Attorney. Vice Chairman Mynatt seconded the motion. Commissioner Privette voiced his intent to vote against the motion, noting school overcrowding.
