Fries Middle School - 108.330 <br />Jay M. Robinson High School - 99.01°s <br />Including previously approved subdivisions, these schools will be <br />functioning at the following capacity upon completion of The <br />Village at Dreaming Creek subdivision project: <br />Wolf Meadow Elementary School -131.065 a <br />J.N. Fries Middle School - 127.720 <br />Jay M. Robinson High School - 110.96°s <br />There are no improvements scheduled over the next five years that <br />would provide relief for Wolf Meadow Elementary School. <br />A new middle school is scheduled for 2009 on Hickory Ridge Road. <br />When this new school opens 300 students will be transferred from <br />J. N. Fries Middle School to the new middle school due to <br />redistricting. A new middle school is scheduled for 2009 in the <br />northwest/Weddington Road area. When this new middle school <br />opens, 100 students will be transferred from J. N. Fries Middle <br />School to the new middle school due to redistricting. <br />A new high school is scheduled for 2013 in the west/central area <br />of the County. When this new school opens 350 students will be <br />transferred from Jay M. Robinson High School to the new high <br />school due to redistricting. <br />Cabarrus County Schools operating at 110°s capacity are considered <br />to be operating at maximum capacity. <br />In response to a question from the Board, Ms. Morris stated the lots <br />were accounted for in the inventory in 2007. <br />Commissioner Carruth MOVED to approve the Consent Agreement between <br />Cabarrus County and Yates Properties, LLC for The Village at Dreaming Creek <br />subdivision, including the payment of $4,039.00 per single-family lot to <br />advance school adequacy with payment due at final platting, and including the <br />payment of $1,331.00 per multi-family unit to advance school adequacy with <br />payment due prior to final platting; and to authorize the County Manager to <br />execute the Agreement on behalf of Cabarrus County, subject to review or <br />revisions by the County Attorney. Vice Chairman Mynatt seconded the motion. <br />Commissioner Privette voiced his intent to vote against the motion, <br />noting school overcrowding. <br />
