The right-of-way purchase is necessary for the <br />planned bridge replacement on Cabarrus Avenue over the Southern Railway <br />(project B-3921). They have offered $350.00 for the property which is a <br />value of $17,500.00 per acre. The County will also benefit from this <br />project, however, by gaining legal access to Cabarrus Avenue for the subject <br />property which we have not been able to obtain to date. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the sale of .02 acres of right- <br />of-way to the NCDOT and authorized the County Manager and County Attorney to <br />complete the transaction. <br />- Annmval of Time Warner s <br />Time Warner Cable (TWC) has requested to extend the existing fiber <br />optic conduit/cable currently located on the Concord Library property. They <br />are proposing to extend the current line an additional 66 feet and install a <br />new 29" x 36" vault to enhance their service capabilities for their Verizon <br />Wireless account that currently has communication equipment attached to the <br />Concord Water Tower adjacent to this site. TWC has offered to relocate the <br />county's existing fiber connection and provide a new 14' x 29" vault on the <br />exterior of the library for the county's use and to facilitate the upfit of <br />the loading dock area. A diagram of the proposed work is as follows: <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the aforementioned request and <br />granted Time Warner Cable (TWC) permission to complete the work as described <br />above. <br />
