Box 160, Aynor, SC <br />29511) is requesting a reservation of capacity for the Villas at <br />Logan Gardens senior independent living facility, which consists <br />of 44 multi-family units on +/- 4.127 acres located off Booker <br />Drive SW in the City of Concord, North Carolina. <br />School Capacity Review <br />The Villas at Logan Gardens could produce approximately 7 <br />elementary students, 2 middle school students and 3 high schools <br />students for a total of 12 students. The schools impacted by the <br />project are W. M. Irvin Elementary School, J. M. Fries Middle <br />School and Jay M. Robinson High School. This project is planned <br />as a senior independent living facility and could be eligible for <br />an exception to the APFO if the necessary requirements are met. <br />If, however, these units were built for the general population, <br />the students generated would be calculated as indicated above. <br />Note: The calculations below include 20th day enrollment figures <br />from October 20, 2009. <br />The County's capital improvements plan (CIP) includes the <br />following proposed improvements that would create additional <br />capacity for the schools impacted by the project: <br />Numher of Additional Seats listed in CIP <br />Year School 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 <br />Elementary W.M. Allen Elementary replacement school is on <br />schedule to be completed and ready for occupancy by August 2010. <br />The A.T. Allen replacement will have capacity for 1000 students. <br />When this new elementary school opens, 45 students will be <br />transferred from W.M. Irvin to the new elementary school due to <br />redistricting. <br />Middle - The new middle school located in the <br />northwest/Weddington Road area of the County, Harold Winkler <br />Middle School, is on schedule to be completed and ready for <br />occupancy by January or February of 2011. When this new 1200 seat <br />capacity middle school opens, 100 students will be transferred <br />from J. N. Fries Middle School to the new middle school due to <br />redistricting. A second new middle school, Hickory Ridge Middle <br />School, is located on the Grace property off Rocky River Road. <br />With capacity for 1200 students, it is on schedule to be <br />completed and ready for occupancy in August 2010. When this new <br />middle school opens, 300 students will be transferred from J.
