Carolyn Carpenter, JCPC Chair, requested <br />assistance and has approved funding for a PT records clerk but lacks office <br />space and administrative oversight. The Sheriff's Office has a need for a <br />records clerk, not funded in the 2008 budget, and is willing to share a <br />position with the JCPC. The JCPC has approved funding which will end June <br />30, 2008 and will aggressively seek continual funding of this position each <br />year. If JCPC funding is not awarded by the state after 2008, the request is <br />for the County to fund the position in full. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Clerical Records position <br />based on JCPC reimbursing the Sheriff's Department for one half of the <br />position through June 30, 2008 for $7,000.00; authorized the use of <br />contingency funds for the remaining share of $8,750.00 and adopted the <br />following related budget amendment: <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br />DEPARTMENT OF SHERIFF <br />AMOUNT: $15,750.00 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request. <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Addition of one Records Clerk position to the Sheriff's <br />Office.
