Jay White, Sr., Chairman <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />of <br />Pam Dubois, Deputy County Manager, presented information related to a <br />budget amendment for the One-Stop HAVA Grant for $18,015.00. She stated this <br />funding will provide 90 votingbooths, four handicapped booths, two filing <br />cabinets, paper supplies, rekeying locks for security in satellite rooms and <br />one-stop worker salaries to the Board of Elections. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following budget amendment: <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br />DEPARTMENT OF BOARD OE ELECTIONS <br />AMOUNT: $18,015.00 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: This budget amendment is to appropriate funds in the <br />amount of $18,015.00 to be received from the N.C. State Board of Elections <br />from the 2008 One-Stop HAVA funds. These funds will be used to purchase 90 <br />voting booths, four HD booths, two filing cabinets, paper supplies, rekeying <br />locks for security in satellite rooms and one-stop worker salaries. She stated this project will allow the EMS <br />Department to develop, implement and train staff on five EMS Response <br />Policies. She further stated there is a $19,450.00 match that is required <br />and has already been budgeted within the EMS FY 2009 operating budget. The County <br />does have a $19,450.00 match to this grant which has been budgeted within the <br />EMS FY 2009 operating budget.
