<br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE
<br />REGULAR MEETING SCHEDULE
<br />FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2009
<br />WHEREAS, the regular agenda work sessions of the Cabarrus County Board
<br />of Commissioners are currently held on the first Monday of each month at 3:30
<br />p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental Center; and
<br />WHEREAS, the regular meetings of the Board of Commissioners are held on
<br />the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners' Meeting
<br />Room at the Governmental Center; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday requires a change in the
<br />regular meeting date in January 2009; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Labor Day Holiday requires a change in the agenda work
<br />session meeting datein September 2009; and
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Cabarrus County Board of
<br />Commissioners, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40(a), does
<br />hereby:
<br />(1) Establish the Board's regular agenda work session schedule to
<br />meet at 3:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental
<br />Center on the following dates:
<br />January 5, 2009*
<br />February 2, 2009*
<br />March 2, 2009*
<br />April 6, 2009
<br />May 9, 2009
<br />June 1, 2009
<br />July 6, 2009
<br />August 3, 2009
<br />September 8, 2009
<br />October 5, 2009
<br />November 2, 2009
<br />December 7, 2009
<br />*Note: The Multipurpose Room will undergo renovations and will
<br />not be available during these dates. These meetings will be held
<br />at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center.
<br />(2) Establish the Board's regular meeting schedule to meet at 6:30
<br />p.m. in the Commissioner's Meeting Room at the Governmental
<br />Center on the following dates:
<br />January 20, 2009
<br />February 16, 2009
<br />March 16, 2009
<br />April 20, 2009
<br />May 18, 2009
<br />June 15, 2009
<br />July 20, 2009
<br />August 17, 2009
<br />September 21, 2009
<br />October 19, 2009
<br />November 16, 2009
<br />December 21, 2009
<br />(3) Sets a NCACC Legislative Goals conference in Raleigh, North
<br />Carolina on January 15 - 16, 2009; and
<br />(9) Sets a Board retreat, at Camp Spencer on January 30 at 3:30 p.m.
<br />and January 31 at 8:00 a.m.; and
<br />(5) Sets the NACO legislative conference in Washington, DC, on March
<br />7 - 11, 2009; and
<br />(6) Sets the NCACC County Assembly Day and Legislative Reception in
<br />Raleigh on April 29, 2009; and
<br />(7) Sets a budget preview meeting at 3:30 p.m. on April 23, 2009; and
<br />(8) Sets budget workshop meetings on May 19, 20 and 21, 2009 from
<br />3:30 - 6;30 p.m., and optional budget workshop meetings on May 27
<br />and 28 from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m.; and
<br />(9) Sets the NACo Annual Conference in Nashville, TN on July 24 - 28,
<br />2009; and
<br />(10) Sets the NCACC Annual Conference in Hickory, NC on August 27 -
<br />30, 2009; and
