No County funds <br />are required. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the submission of the Eit <br />Community Grant application and authorized the Chairman to execute the <br />corresponding documentation. <br />(F-20) Additional Sheriff's Deputy to Work in the Town of Harrisburg <br />At this time, the Town of Harrisburg is reimbursing the Sheriff's <br />Office for salary and benefits for six officers that are assigned to work in <br />the Town of Harrisburg. Harrisburg has requested the Sheriff's Office add <br />one more deputy and as with past agreements, Harrisburg will reimburse the <br />Sheriff's Office for salary and benefits related to the new deputy. Any <br />additional equipment needed by the deputy, including patrol vehicle, will be <br />provided by the Town of Harrisburg. She further reported the entire <br />$900,000.00 grant was expended and eleven homes were rehabilitated. <br />At 6:59 p.m., Chairman Carruth opened the public hearing on the 2004 <br />CDBG Scattered Site Housing Rehabilitation Program Close-out Public Hearing. <br />The Public Hearing Notice was published on February 1 and 9, 2007 in THE <br />INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE and THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER (Cabarrus Neighbors). <br />There was no one present to address the Board and Chairman Carruth <br />closed the public hearing. <br />
