Ms. Zakraisek responded to a variety of questions from the Board. At 7:07 p.m., Chairman Carruth opened the public hearing on the Text Amendment to Chapter 7, Section 16, Home Occupation and Section 17, Home Occupation, Rural, to Address Family Child Care Home Standards (C2007-O1-ZT). The Public Hearing Notice was published on February 8, 2007 in THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER (Cabarrus Neighbors). There was no one present to address the Board and Chairman Carruth closed the public hearing. UPON MOTION by Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Vice Chairman Juba and unanimously carried, the Board adopted an ordinance amending Chapter 7, of the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance, Section 16, Home Occupation, .and Section 17, Home. Occupation, Rural, to Address Family Child Care Home Standards as follows: Ordinance No. 2007-02 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARROS COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended as follows: Chapter 7, Performance Based Standards, Section 16, Home Occupation • DELETE the following language: Daycare with five children or less • ADD the following language: Daycare with eightchildren or less (See GS §110-86) Chapter 7, Performance Based Standards, Section 17, Home Occupation, rural • DELETE the following language: Daycare with five children or less • ADD the following language Daycare-with eight children or less (See GS X110-86) Adopted this the 19th day of February 2007 by the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners. /s/ Robert W.
