Further, the Board .adopted the following budget amendment: BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST DEPARTMENT OF SHERIFF AMOUNT: $56,049.00 TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request PURPOSE OF REQUEST: This revision appropriates funds for one new Sergeant for the Town of Harrisburg. The Engineering for that line has been completed and the sewer line will need to be located nearer to the highway than originally planned, forcing the easement to be relocated. The easement will not be any wider than it is currently. UPON MOTION of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and unanimously carried, the Board approved the relocation of the Sanitary Sewer Easement off 73 East as long as the width of that easement does not exceed that of the current easement and authorized the County Manager to execute the corresponding documentation. (F-7) Commerce Department - Voluntary Annexation Reaueet for the Northwest Area High School Property By agreement with the City of Concord, properties within their 5-year annexation area must be considered for voluntary annexation if they will be provided with public water and sewer services. Cabarrus County and Cabarrus County Schools are in the process of purchasing property for a new high school off Cox Mill- Road and the request for voluntary annexation is required. UPON MOTION of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and unanimously carried, the Board approved the preparation of the request of voluntary annexation for the Northwest Area High School property including authorizing the County Manager to sign the request on behalf of the County. - Addition NC Building Code requires a permit for retaining walls greater than five feet in height. '. These walls are rarely noted on building plans. The Commerce Department requests retaining walls greater than 5 feet be required on grading plans and that a separate $25.00 permit fee be issued for them. UPON MOTION of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and unanimously carried, the Board approved the requirement of retaining walls greater than five feet in height to be shown/noted on building plans and the addition of a $25.00!retaining wall permit to Construction Standards' fee schedule for walls greater than five feet in height.
