Cox Mill High School can be provided with a power system to <br />support shelter operations for $370,000. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Juba, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board designated Cox Mill High School as an <br />emergency shelter and authorized the additional expenditure of $270,000.00 <br />{COPS (Certificates of Participation) financing} to the Cox Mill High School <br />project to install an emergency power system capable of supporting shelter <br />operations. <br />(F-12) Approval of the Cabarrus Health Alliance Sublease Agreement Renewal <br />This is a renewal of the sublease agreement for the portion of the <br />Human Services Building (33,889 square feet) occupied by the Cabarrus Health <br />Alliance. The initial lease term will be one year beginning July 1, 2007 <br />through June 30, 2008 with an initial basic rent of $205,028.58 for Fiscal <br />Year 2008. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Juba, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Cabarrus Health Alliance <br />Sublease Agreement in the amount of $205,028.58 for Fiscal Year 2008 and <br />authorized the County Manager to execute the contract, subject to review <br />and/or revision by the County Attorney. <br />(F-13) Department of Agina_ - Title V Program New Positions S Hudget <br />Amendment - $97,049.00 <br />The Cabarrus County Department of Aging has received a significant <br />increase in funding for the Title V Employment and Training Program for local <br />older adults. This increase will allow the Department of Aging to provide <br />these services to more than twice as many clients as FY '07 (an increase from <br />12 to 25 on average). This Budget Amendment request and the approval of <br />additional temporary part-time positions will allow the Department of Aging <br />to greatly enhance services to local older adults. In fact, Carolina <br />Green's primary services include construction, maintenance and consulting of <br />athletic fields and parks. Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation have had <br />more feedback from Carolina Green over the past few months concerning options <br />at the soccer complex and they have much more knowledge, resources, and <br />
