Holidays and upcoming NACo and NCACC conferences were taken into <br />consideration in development of the proposed meeting schedule. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following resolution: <br />Resolution No. 2007-33 <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE <br />REGULAR MEETING SCHEDULE <br />FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2008 <br />WHEREAS, the regular agenda work sessions of the Cabarrus County Board <br />of Commissioners are currently held on the first Monday of each month at 3:30 <br />p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental Center; and <br />WHEREAS, the regular meetings of the Board of Commissioners are held on <br />the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners' Meeting <br />Room at the Governmental Center; and <br />WHEREAS, several holidays and scheduled conferences of the National <br />Association of County Commissioners require a change in a number of the <br />agenda work session dates as well as several regular meeting dates; and <br />WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 153A-26 requires that the Board <br />hold an organizational meeting on the first Monday of December for each even- <br />numbered year. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-90(a), does <br />hereby: <br />(1) Establish the Board's regular agenda work session schedule to <br />meet at 3:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental <br />Center on the following dates: <br />January 7, 2008 <br />February 4, 2008 <br />March 10, 2008 <br />April 7, 2008 <br />May 5, 2008 <br />June 2, 2008 <br />July 7, 2008 <br />August 9, 2008 <br />September 8, 2008 <br />October 6, 2008 <br />November 3, 2008 <br />December 2, 2008 <br />(2) Establish the Board's regular meeting schedule to meet at 6:30 <br />p.m. in the Commissioner's Meeting Room at the Governmental <br />Center on the following dates: <br />January 22, 2008 <br />February 18, 2008 <br />March 29, 2008 <br />April 21, 2008 <br />May 19, 2008 <br />June 16, 2008 <br />July 21, 2008 <br />August 18, 2008 <br />September 22, 2008 <br />October 20, 2008 <br />November, 17, 2008 <br />December 15, 2008 <br />
