The renewal contract amount was in the amount of $2,232,711.00. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Vice Chairman Juba <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Good Health Services Contract <br />for the Department of Social Services in the amount of $2,232,711.00 for the <br />Fiscal Year 2007 and authorized the County Manager to execute the contract. <br /> <br />(F-16) Department of Social Services - Contract Renewal with Lutheran Family <br />Services in the Carolinas for Foster Care Services <br /> <br />The FY 2007 contract with Lutheran Family Services will provide shelter <br />and care to children in the custody of the Cabarrus County Department of <br />Social Services. Funding is included in the current FY 2007 budget. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Vice Chairman Juba <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Lutheran Services contract <br />with the Department of Social Services for the emergency placement of <br />children in foster care in the amount of $2,093,341. 32 and authorized the <br />County Manager to execute the contract. <br /> <br />(F-17) N.C. Department of Environment & Natural Resources - Contract Renewal <br />for Forestry Service <br /> <br />The annual budget for Forestry Service in Cabarrus County is <br />$123,243.00 with 60 percent provided by State and Federal funds and 40 <br />percent provided by Cabarrus County. The County's share of $49,297.00 was <br />included in the FY 2007 Budget. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Vice Chairman Juba <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved contract with the State of North <br />Carolina Department of Environmental and Natural Resources in the amount of <br />$49,297.00 to provide forestry services in Cabarrus County for FY 2007. <br /> <br />(F-18) Approval of Bid to S&S Electrical Construction Co., Inc., for <br />Athletic Lighting for Frank Liske and Cox Mill School Parks <br /> <br />On Friday, August 4, 2006, four bids were received and opened for <br />athletic lighting projects. The overall low bidder was S&S Electrical <br />Construction Company at $670,000.00.
