Funding for this grant was approved in the FY 2007 Budget. This grant provides services to individuals who are 60 years of age or older residing in Cabarrus County. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board approved the agreement between Cabarrus County and the Centralina Council of Governments for the Home and Community Care Block grant award of $580,514.00 and authorized the County Manager to execute the agreement on behalf of Cabarrus County. (F-13) Former Bethel Elementary School Property - Approval of Amended Contract with YCH Architects and Adoption of Related Budget Amendment On July 10, 2006, the Board of Commissioners accepted a proposal ($55,000.00) from YCH Architects to provide "Schematic Design Services" to identify potential uses, floor plans an costs for the former Bethel Elementary School. In conjunction with approving the YCH proposal, the Board of Commissioners accepted the contribution of $8,250.00 from the Town of Midland and authorized a budget amendment to appropriate the remainder of the funds ($46,750.00) from the contingency fund. In preparing the final contract, YCH included an additional $3,000.00 to cover reimbursables that were not noted in the original proposal. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board approved the additional "up to $3,000.00" to cover reimbursables during the life of the contract between Cabarrus County and YHC Architects and authorized the County Manager to execute the contract as amended. Further, the Board adopted the following budget amendment: BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST DEPARTMENT OF COUNTY MANAGER AMOUNT: $11,250.00 TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Transfer Between Departments/Funds PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Contract with YCH Architects to provide "Schematic Design Services" for the former Bethel Elementary School - Increase approved "proposal" $3,000.00 to cover reimburseables identified in the final contract.
