<br />April 18, 2005 (Regular Meeting) <br /> <br />Page 146 <br /> <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE <br />AMOUNT: $500,000.00 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Transfer Between Function/Funds <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: On July 30, 2004 Cabarrus County was awarded a <br />$500,000.00 Federal Grant from the State Homeland Security Grant Program of <br />the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Cabarrus County is allowed to use <br />these funds for the construction of a Communications Tower. Upon <br />notification of these funds, it was decided to record the budget in the <br />General Fund. Upon further investigation, we have decided that the <br />construction project will be spread over multiple fiscal years and the budget <br />should be recorded in a Multi year Capital Projects Fund. The IRS standard is now $.405 <br />per mile. Good Health provides in-home aide services and personal care <br />services to individuals. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved an amendment to the Good Health <br />
