If an ambulance is cancelled, the person <br />canceling must identify himself/herself. <br />(g) A first responder or agency will be allowed to cancel a rescue unit that <br />has been dispatched to an entrapment or pin-in, if the situation no longer <br />exists7 and no additional transport units are needed. <br />(h) If rescue is cancelled, the person canceling must identify <br />himself/herself. (h) No more than four first responders per patient shall be <br />at the emergency scene unless the conditions warrant additional first <br />responders. Standards for patient Care by first responder agency and the <br />first responder member. <br />(a) At the scene of an emergency, the first responder agency shall <br />administer basic life support and first-aid, including the taking of vital <br />signs, to the sick or injured in a way that is consistent with the level of <br />state medical responder training set forth. <br />(b) At the scene of the emergency and prior to the ambulance provider's <br />arrival, the senior first responder shall be in control of the emergency <br />victim's care provided by that agency and its members. <br />(c) Upon arriving at the scene of the emergency, the crew on the EMS <br />ambulance shall assume control of the victimls care. <br />(d) The EMS ambulance crew shall, at their discretion, release the first <br />responders when they feel their service is no longer needed at .the emergency <br />scene or may request one or more first responders to assist in the <br />transportation of the patients to the hospital. <br />(e) The first responders shall act in a professional and courteous manner at <br />all times when administering care to patients. <br />(f) The first responders and the first responder agency shall be liable for <br />theiractioos pertaining to the care of the patient prior to the arrival of <br />the ambulance provider. <br />(Ord. of 12-7-92 (2), ~ 8) <br /> <br />Sec. 26-59. Standards for Recordkeeping. <br />Each first responder agency shall maintain the following records: <br />(1) Record of patient treatment. For each patient rendered assistance by <br />first responder agency, the following information will be. recorded on a <br />patient treatment form: <br />a. Name, age, and address of the patient. <br />b. Date and time treatment rendered. <br />c. Location of treatment rendered. <br />d. Patient complaints and condition at the time of treatment rendered. <br />e. Patient vital signs and time recorded. <br />f. Treatment rendered the patient by the first responder. <br />g.
