97 <br /> <br />Sale of Property at J. N. Fries Middle School by the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Education to the City of Concord for the Puzloose of Constructing a Fire <br />Station <br /> <br /> The Board received the revised agreement between the cabarrus County <br />Board of Education and the City of Concord for the transfer of approximately <br />three acres of property at J. N. Fries Middle School to the City of Concord <br />at a cost of $50,000.00 and driveway improvements. According to the <br />Agreement, the City' proposes to locate a fire station, police precinct office <br />and customer service center on the property. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Privette with <br />Chairman Fennel, Vice Chairman Carruth and Commissioners Privette and Suggs <br />voting for, the Board waived its right to purchase approximately three acres <br />of property at J. N. Fries Middle School and approved the sale of the <br />property, as described in Exhibit A, by the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Education to the City of Concord for the purpose of constructing a fire <br />station, .police precinct office and customer service center on the property~ <br /> <br />EXHIBIT ~A" <br /> <br />Lying and being in Number 11 Township, Cabarrus County, North Carolina, and <br />on the Eastern side of the Old Charlotte Road and adjoining Jackson Training <br />School Property, and being described as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at a point corner of Jackson Training School and in the <br />Eastern Edge of Old Charlotte Road and running with the Eastern <br />edge of the Old Charlotte Road N. 00-44-35 E. 266.35 feet to a <br />point; thence a new line S. 64-43-43 E. 289.18 feet to a point; <br />thence S. 85-18-08 E. 76.62 feet to a point; thence S. 51-30-42 <br />E. 34.50 feet to a point; thence N. 89-16-28 E. 125.98 feet to a <br />point; thence S. 00-43-32 E. 223.55 feet to a point; thence S. <br />62-28-14 W. 321.18 feet to a point; thence N. 08-40-42 E. 84.25 <br />feet to a point; thence N. 81-18-03 W. 234.33 feet to the point <br />of BEGINNING, containing 3.83 acres, more or less, as surveyed by <br />Concord Engineering & Surveying, Inc., April 18, 2001. <br /> <br />Subject to right of way for Old Charlotte Road. <br /> <br />Approval of the FY 2002 Home and Community Care Block.
