The PTA officials will <br />discuss this issue with the School Superintendent. <br /> <br />County Parkinq Lots - Public/Employee Policies (Discussion/Action) <br /> <br /> Mr. Clifton reviewed existing County parking facilities for employees <br />and the public in downtown Concord. He discussed current parking policies, <br />costs and recommendations to address current and future parking needs. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Casper, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />with Commissioners Casper, Privette and Fennel and Chairman Barnhart voting <br />for and Commissioner Carpenter voting against, the Board agreed to pursue the <br />acquisition and development of the School Board property located on Corban <br />Avenue next to Lot 9 (parking lot located at Corban and Church Streets). <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />with Commissioners Fennel, Privette, Carpenter and Casper voting for and <br />Chairman Barnhart voting against, the Board moved to table discussions with <br />the City of Concord regarding the timing, costs and construction of a parking <br />garage facility on Lots 1 and 2 (Barbrick Avenue and Corban Avenue) in <br />downtown Concord. <br /> <br /> There was discussion regarding methods of controlling access to parking <br />on the garage level of the Governmental Center. The discussion centered on <br />the use of the parking garage by attorneys and others not conducting business <br />in the facility as well as the issue of fairness relating to charging the <br />public for parking. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the following staff parking in the <br />Governmental Center: <br /> <br />Staff Parking (County and State Employees) <br />A. Increase the monthly parking fee for the Basement level assigned <br /> parking from $10/month (enacted 1990) to $15/month. (Controlled <br /> access) <br /> <br /> <br />
