340 <br /> <br />Zoning Text,Amendment- Public Hearing- 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jonathan Marshall, Planner, presented Petition 95-01(T) to amend <br />Chapter 7, Sect£on 4, Number 17 of the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance relative <br />to "Home Occupation, Rural". <br /> <br /> At 7:05 P.M., Chairman Barnhart stated that this was the date and time for <br />a public hearing regarding Petition 95-01(T) and asked if anyone were present who <br />wished to speak either for or against the proposed Zoning text amendment. There <br />was no one present to address the Board, and Chairman Barnhart closed the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br /> UPON NOTION of Commissioner Ntblock, seconded by Chairman Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following amendment to the Cabarrus <br />County Zoning.Ordinance. <br /> <br />PETITION 95-01(T) <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby <br />amended as follows: <br /> <br />Amend Chapter 7, Section 4, Number 17 as follows: <br /> 1. Add the Medium Density Residential zoning district to <br /> those in which "Home Occupation, Rural" is permitted by <br /> standards. <br /> 2. Amend part "c" adding a final sentence that would read: <br /> "No outside storage shall be permitted in theM_DR zoning <br /> district." <br /> 3. Add part "t" to the list of standards to read: "i". <br /> Minimum lot size, In the Agricultural/Open, Countryside <br /> Residential, and Low Density Residential zoning <br /> districts, lots must meet the standard minimum size <br /> requirements for thOse districts. In the Medium Density <br /> Residential zoning district, minimum lot size shall be <br /> two (2) acres. <br />Chapter 3, Section 7b, Number 3 will also need to be amended to add <br />"Home Occupation, Rural" to the list of "Permitted with Performance <br />Standards."' <br /> <br />Adopted this the 20th day of February, 1995 by the Cabarrus County <br />Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />/s/ Jeffrey L, Barnhart <br /> Jeffrey L. Bonds, Clerk to the Board <br /> <br />Water and Sewer District Meeting <br /> <br /> Chairman Barnhart recessed the meeting of the Board of Commissioners until <br />the conclusion of the meeting of the Water and Sewer District. <br /> <br />Chairman Barnhart reconvened the meeting of the Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />Closed Session <br /> <br /> UPON NOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Ntblock and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into closed session in accordance with <br />G.S. 143-318.11(a)(3)(4) to discuss industrial recruitment and for consultation <br />with counsel regarding pending litigation relative to the Conner zoning issue. <br /> <br /> The Board invited Mr. Maurice Ewing, Executive Vice-President of the <br />Greater Cabarrus County Economic Development Corporation, to join the Board in <br />closed session'. <br /> <br /> <br />
